Yoni Egg Overnight Exercises: Good or Bad?

Many beginners to the practice ask if yoni egg overnight exercises are good or bad. Your crystal yoni egg can bring positive and healing energy. For this reason, some users recommend wearing the yoni egg at night while sleeping. They believe that it is a good way to ease into a routine while allowing the user to benefit from the crystal as much as possible. However, here are several reasons why you should not do it.

Taking Breaks

Rest between sessions is just as important as the practice itself. It is important not to overdo these exercises. While resting, observe your yoni and listen to her guidance. Allow it time to rebuild and support the undergoing changes. 

Beginners to the yoni egg practice should not keep the yoni egg inside for an entire day. Instead, listen to your body. Pay attention to your yoni. She will become more sensitive and express her desires more clearly. Start with a few minutes of contracting and relaxing your muscles. 

Professional Advice

There are some health experts who have warned against using the yoni egg as some users tend to overdo it. The pelvic floor muscles are not meant to contract continuously. The relaxation of these muscles is just as important as the contraction. 

While contraction is thought to strengthen these muscles, prolonged contraction can cause the pelvic muscles to become too tense. This can lead to its own set of issues such as pelvic floor dysfunction.  

Wearing a yoni egg for long durations requires your pelvic floor muscles to clench for a prolonged time. It can be likened to walking around all day holding a barbell. When you do this, your arm muscles will ache the next day. The same goes for your yoni. Overdoing these exercises can result in pelvic pain and soreness. 

Some users are against sleeping with a yoni egg. They believe that the weight of it can squash and stretch the delicate vaginal tissues by pressing onto it for hours. 

Reducing Risk 

Another argument by health experts is the risk of developing infections. When you wear your yoni egg for several hours, it should not cause any issue. However, users should not wear it for many hours such as leaving it in overnight. Prolonged use increases the risk of infections such as toxic shock syndrome (TSS). 

Since crystals are porous by nature, bacteria can hide on the surface. Leaving your egg in for prolonged durations allows the bacteria to multiply and cause an infection. This is the reason why experts recommend boiling your egg to sterilize it before use. To see positive results from your crystal egg, all that is needed is 15 to 20 minutes of regular practice. 

You can continue to bond and meditate with your egg after your yoni egg practice session. You can do this by holding your crystal between your hands. You can also place your crystal on your lower abdomen or close to your heart. During this time, talk to your crystal and try connecting with your inner self. Another favorite way to bond or stay connected with your egg is to sleep with it under your pillow.
